Recommended
running shoes for a specific runner will depend on what type of feet
he or she has. People with flat feet should primarily concern themselves
with stability when it comes to shoe-purchasing. Motion control shoes
are an excellent choice, while highly cushioned shoes should be avoided.
For someone with highly arched feet, the recommended running shoes
will be cushioned with plenty of flexibility. Stability shoes reduce
foot mobility and should be avoided for that purpose. Neutral-footed
people are okay with all types of shoes but shouldn’t select any
that are highly corrective of any issue.
There are other factors which come into play when finding the recommended
running shoes for a particular individual. Racing is such a factor.
Whether you are racing for a long distance or a short distance makes
a difference, especially when it comes to durability and weight. If
you plan on running along trails there are additional shoe particularities
to consider too.
